ive had chickens most of my life but now im wanting to build a bigger flock with free range right now im started with 10 hens one rooster i just hatched 20 eggs but only have 5 live for 3 weeks now :( bators r a new thing ive allways let the hens hatch them so maybe i did somthing wrong so i joined yalls group maybe i can lean from yall somthings

Incubators are hard to use, and their hatching success is very rarely 100%. Just slightly wrong temperature, humidity, handling of the eggs, improper turning, can lead to low hatch rates. Momma hen tends to know what she's doing. We just had a hen hatch out chicks this morning!

Glad you could join the flock! You have come to the right place for lots of help with your future incubations. Getting the feel of a new incubator can be a little hit and miss and first untill you get used to its ways. I have certainly found this out. But once you get up and running it can be a very rewarding experience. Watching the chicks come into the world really is a fantastic thing to watch.

thank yal for the warm welcomes well just put more eggs in for round two keep the humidity around 50% for 18 days then 60 to 70% last three atlases from what ive read thats the majority and got a turner for it
