I am new to raising chicks. I started with my first batch of chicks (needed heat lamps, etc.) in April '16. They were so much fun to raise that we got more. I have a suburban backyard coop. My neighbors are excited for when my hand are old enough to start laying eggs. All our chickens are much loved members of the family. They run to greet us at the coop door when they see us coming!!
