Yup went from like a 4x4 to a 10x8 and I could still use another coop!!
I had the 10x8 built for 9 big girls, guy thought I was NUTS and he had 40 chickens. Silkies get the smaller 4x4 in the warmer months and I built a separate duck shack (which they don't use)We started with a 4x8 with 8 external nesting boxes, then added another small 4x4, then in a pinch bought a little 3x3 prefab for an emergency separation. Now we are building a quick 4x4 to house a couple cockerels, and in a couple months we'll have an 8x10 walk in, and all of these coops except for the 3x3, which is ready for the fire pit. And we only have 12 chickens!!!
They need space to get along!!! Always build bigger!!!
