Why does my Chicken Coop get so dusty. I use straw in it. Just cleaned it a week ago and now very dusty

My coop gets unbelievably dusty too. Straw and wood shavings are some of the dustiest bedding materials and you can't do anything about it really. Other bedding materials like sand, pine straw and wood chips aren't as dusty. Here's some good links on bedding materials you might be interested in.

Like other birds chickens lose a lot of dander. It's natural . Glad you joined BYC.

Welcome to BYC! That happens a lot when you have straw. I use sand, its much easier.

As the other greeters have said, it's the straw and the chicken dander. Good ventilation is really important in your coop and a box fan set up high to help circulate the air might help.
