Hi. My name is Toon and I live in Melbourne, Australia. I'm very new to chicken. We just got three of them last week, one is Australorp, another one is Isa Brown and also a White Silkie, they are all about 15 weeks old and I have been told from a person(family friend) who gave them to us that they are all girls. I have read a few post about silkie chicken and saw that you would not be able to tell what sex your silkie will be until they are about 5-6 months old but he said he pretty sure she is a girl. Would you be able to help me from her photos what sex do you think she is?

I've never had a silkie but they are very popular with a lot of members. If you can get a picture posted, someone may be able to help you figure it out.

Hi. Thank you so much to you all for your reply. I'm trying to add her photo on this post but it doesn't seem to work for me at the moment. I have posted her picture on sexing your silkies yesterday and it has came up, not sure why I can't do it on here but I will keep trying. Thanks again, appreciate your time replying to me

I would love to have a look at her. Are you aware of the thread "Australia, six states and one funny little island." BYC has a large Aussie community - maybe there is someone near you that could look her over. I know folks in Australia have silkies.
