Hello, I think I'm doing this backwards, as I posted a question in the forum first, but my name is Lauren and I'm a new chicken mom. I have three 7-day-old chicks hatched by my grandfather from his 2 year old Barred Rock Roo and his very old hens (2 chicks from a Black Sex Link - 5 years and 1 chick from a Red Sex Link 6-7 years) and I have three 13-day-old buff silkies. I have been reading the forum for nearly 2 weeks straight and finally decided to join the community! I can't wait to watch my babies grow up and I really can't wait for fresh eggs!
