Hi! I am new to BYC and chickens in general. I got my first flock a year ago from my aunt. She let her hens hatch some babies and surprised me with them as a house warming gift! [IMG] unfortunately I was not as prepared as I should have been and some, not so nice teens killed my whole flock [IMG] I restarted with chickens this spring and am absolutely obsessed with my babies! I have Cochins, jersey giants, americauna mix, lavender orpington, australorps, ISA browns, silkie, and polish as well as 2 turkeys and 2 guineas. I look forward to talking with everyone!

G’Day from down under jART25 [IMG] Welcome!

I am also sorry to hear about your first flock but wish and your new feathered family all the best.

I hope you enjoy BYC. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun. Unlike non chicken loving friends, family and colleagues, BYC’ers never tire of stories or pictures that feature our feathered and non feathered friends [IMG]
