I'm here because my eldest daughter just bought some baby chicks and she told me I had to...LOL
I was raised around my grandparents farm as a kid, and then lived on a farm for almost 20 years. I had a few laying hens but didn't have a lot of luck due to coyotes, foxes and stray dogs.
This is my first attempt at backyard chicken keeping in town. Also my first attempt with baby chicks. They seem happy and healthy so far and each are earning their unique names, thanks to my daughter and granddaughter.
I am happy to have found the forum and have already learned a few things, such as not to feed raw potato peels or citrus!
I am looking forward to learning a lot more.
