I have had many chickens, turkeys and ducks over the years but none like the 2 1/2 lb Banty hen I currently have. She is 3 years old now, has travelled with me all over Vancouver Island.
Aside from spending lots of time with her I have numerous hobbies to keep me busy
Gardening, carpentry, camping, doing assorted crafts:driftwood villages, making books and calendars, beading and kayaking to name just a few.
Have known about BYC for years, just never took the time to introduce myself

She is the only one, she grew up with my standard poodle whom she cuddles with. She is a special little bird.

Welcome to Backyard chickens. There is also a thread "Canadians, check in here." for news if you get homesick here. How does your little banty hen travel with you? Backpack, in car, on boat ??? We have some chicken folks that live on a boat & so does their chicken- she loves it.
