Hello and welcome to BYC! Glad you joined.
I too have bear around my property. My coop and run are within a 1/4-acre electro-netting pen with a 10,000 volt charger. I haven't had any predator problems at all.

I agree with Dobie Lover. Bears do what they want to do. The electro netting pen with big volt charger helps change their minds. Sometimes you can help it along. When turned off attach some meat/etc to fencing with aluminum foil. Power up and wait for Bear to be surprised when he tries to taste them. His fur will insulate him but, his nose/mouth will not.
