Hi everyone! I’m hoping to make some friends here so let me tell you a bit about who I am :) I’m relatively new to chickens- I’ve had mine for just over a year and just got some new chicks two weeks ago. :D I went into tractor supply and couldn’t help myself lol long story short, I’m now the mother of 14 chickens lol I have 3 buff orpingtons, 2 Rhode Island reds, 3 brahmas, 2 silkies, 2 bannies, 1 Black sex link and one unknown. He’s a rooster and has feathers on his feet but he’s not a silkie. I love hearing the roosters crowing and collecting eggs every day! I love getting to hug my chickens, that’s probably my favorite part! <3
A few of my other hobbies include gardening, my fur babies, sitting outside with a fire going and roasting marshmallows, playing the piano, drawing, and writing poetry. I also really enjoy cooking/baking homemade breads and jams and everything else under the sun ;)
I live in the country on 6 acres and it’s beautiful out here! :) I absolutely love it! I didn’t peck the chicken life, the chicken life pecked me! Lol

Hello and welcome. I live in the country oon close to eleven acres, with only one acre of open land. We semi free range out 9 black ostrolorps, 10 easter eggers (one being a beautiful rooster) and four brown khaki campbell ducks.

Toyr little roo is absolutely adorable so far. Good luck and feel free to ask for help :p

I loved the hug emojis! I feel so welcomed!!! Thank you!!!

Big or small? BIG could be a Brahma Rooster - smaller Cochin roo. Cochin come in many colors. Both breeds have feathered feet. You could post photo at "what breed or gender is this," and the folks there will sort it out.

Thank you for that information! :) I’ll definitely get a good picture of him once it stops storming and post it in the foroum :)
