Hi all. I'm Laura, a quick intro!
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
new to raising them myself. family had chickens when I was teen/20s
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
4 (hopefully) pullets. one might be a cockerel
(3) What breeds do you have?
RIR, ameracauna, barred rock, and brown leghorn
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
they are fun to watch, grow, and of course fresh eggs. I mostly avoid buying eggs due to animal welfare concerns, so having my own is very cool
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
bike stuff, dog training, garden
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
1 dog, 1 cat, 1 fiance
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
need a good community to ask q's and get some support. and see cute pictures
