From Bixby Ok. We’ve had chickens for a year, I just became involved. I tried to not involve myself, because I knew I would get attached. My husband would forget to let them out, so he would ask me to, or it was too cold when he left before light was out for work. They would get out and I would have to chase them back in, and when I started feeding them snacks, and they start running out to you, well, it happened. I’m hooked.

Welcome to BYC and best of luck with your flock! I added an automatic coop door about a year ago and it has been a game-changer! It was pricey, but worth it for not having to get up to let them out at sunrise or worry about forgetting to close them up in the evenings.
