Hi! I just got my first chickens ever today, 6 baby chicks: 2 Ameraucanas, 2 Gold Sex-Link, and 2 Silver-Laced Wyandotte. A neighbor who used to keep chickens told me about this site and I've been reading for a while while we've been thinking about getting chicks. The cats are nearly as interested in watching the chicks as I am, but probably with different goals in mind.

I'm a grad student with four teenage/young adult children and a husband. The Lord knows I don't need another thing to occupy my time, but oh, well, that's how it goes sometimes!

Thanks to everyone I've been learning from so far! This is a great site!
