Welcome Tx mom. I understand chick math all TOO well. I was so good had a plan of 2 replacements , wanted different breeds so w/ min. 2=8 and so on!Hi, so here I am. A new chicken mom. Currently I have 3 girls. 2 Plymouth Rock and 1 Maran. I am planning on 1 ea a Buff & a Lemon Cuckoo Orpington & a French Copper Maran in the next weeks.
Initially 3 was my max, no one told me about chicken math, so I thought maybe 5, no 8 would be good.., I’m now planning for 10…. I live in West Texas almost in NM. Excited to learn, & already love my girls.
It's like someone was in my body!?! My flock of 4 is now 15!?!?!@#$&--&#@. How did this happen? Well I have a plan to sell some . I just can't go to Tractor supply till next October! Lol
