I'm terrible at introductions, so I'm stealing the copy paste template!

(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
We bought our first bantam chickens in April 2022, added 8 new chicks in May, and 6 hens in June.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
More than I intended. 18 at the moment.

(3) What breeds do you have?
I have 9 Serama mixes, 6 Jersey giants, 2 Mystic Marans and 6 various Orpingtons.

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Watching the chickens, interacting with them.

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I draw, I read, I enjoy gaming

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I umm, hmm, I have a former street dog named Samay who would very much like to eat my chickens. And I'm incredibly awkward socially, but sometimes I'm good at pretending I'm not.

(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?

Hello and welcome!

Sounds like chicken math got you too! We started out in May with 4 pullets and we now have 16 chicks/chickens and 6 ducks 😂

Our dogs want to make the chickens their lunch too, one has learnt to live with them, one is obsessed and one is just waiting for her chance to pounce.

I found BYC the same way, I thought it would just be for Americans but found they welcomed everyone 😁
