(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I had a chickens several years ago, but my career got in the way. I now am on my 3rd year of raising chickens since 2020.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
50 and counting

(3) What breeds do you have?
Rhode Island Red
Golden Comet
Leghorn
Plymouth and Partridge barred rock
Black Laced Wayondotte
Gold Laced Wayondotte
Jersey Giants
Easter Eggers
Tetra Tints

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I love almost everything about it. There are messes and sickness, but that is all a part of it. The risk of that is well worth the reward!

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I love vegetable gardening and canning

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I’ve been married to my best friend for 23 years. I have 2 dogs, an old cocker spaniel named Murdock and a 2 year old chocolate lab named Bella. I do hair to support all my hobbies!
