Hello everyone! I'm Kaila and I am a brand new chicken mom living in Central Florida. I received my flock this past week from my mother. I currently have 7 chickens with a few more on the way once they are older. I currently have a Light Brahma, 2 Turkens, a New Hampshire Red, 2 Ayami Cerami (male and female), and an Easter Egger. I will be getting another Easter Egger as well as a Maran once they are bigger. My favorite aspect of raising chickens is getting fresh eggs and having something fun to do to get me outside. Some other hobbies I enjoy is gardening but also enjoy board and video games. I live with my husband, 3 year old son and we also have 2 corn snakes and a cat. I currently am a stay at home mom so the chickens have been a great activity for me and my son during the day. I found BYC through the forums of questions and I decided to join when I also started having questions. <3

It's nice to know you are minutes away from getting help with questions and emergencies! I always check in the "What's New" section as well at the top of this page. This way I can read how I may have a similar question or help give some advice.
