Hi I am Laura (lazlo8) and I am on the verge of becoming a true chicken lady. I am in Los Angeles, CA.

I have been thru four hatches under broodies, and one that I had to take over the eggs at Day 16 (coyote attack killed my broody) and I have 10 Golden Comets 17 weeks old, one easter egger rooster, a copper maran and an autralorp. Two that lay eggs so far, waiting on the golden comets to start laying. Everyone in the flock is young and the new run and house are safe against all predators. (Unless a bear shows up) Built on an old cement pad.

I just got a Pycheon hen ... on free craigslist. She is in a separate section. I would like to find her a mate. Making enquires everywhere. So far no luck. But I am relentless. I want to get a few bantams to keep her comapny while I wait. But I know nothing about who a pycheon might like. She is an amazing bird.

Thanks so much! I fell in love with her. Even if I cannot find a roo of her pycheon breed, I want to try with a roo that will help her out. She is darling! The snuggle chicken of all snuggles!

She is beautiful! I'm not sure how easy it would be to find another Pyncheon. I haven't actively looked, but they don't seem too common.

I bet she would love hanging out with another mille fleur bantam or a crested type of bantam just so they'd be similar in size and looks (they seem to like that.) I found my bantams just by searching for bantams on Craigslist. I'm sure she'd approve of most any breed of her size and temperament, though.
