Hello all,
I thought I would finally join after reading so many helpful things in the forums. I have 5 chickens: a Rhode Island Red, a Gold Laced Wyandotte, a Barred Rock, and two Araucana's PLUS an English Mastiff, a dachshund, a cat, a husband, and two daughters (8 and 2 years)--all of whom I am enjoying taking care of as a full-time mom and wife.
I am happy to say that we are all getting along just fine (well the cat really wants to "taste" my chickens, but he isn't allowed out much since he gets into trouble a lot anyway). This is a new venture for me as I am a bit of a city girl (really more of a misplaced country girl) and I am looking forward to learn more here.
