My name is Linda. I started 3 months ago raising my chickens, which I like to refer to as "my babies" ..The first batch came April/2012. We ordered 14 but 2 didn't make it..but the other 12 are just fine and I have to admit spoiled. ..I have another batch (9) that arrived 2 1/2 weeks ago. We lost one of them..but the 8 are doing fine..one has an issue, Sami, her bottom beak isn't lined up with her top, which is making it a problem for her but I'm hand feeding her and called my vet today. I'm waiting for the university of WI to get back with me about it also... I'd like to introduce my babies:
Tilly-Welsummer Pullet
Hoot-AMERAUCANA Pullet (she's going to be the first i'm showing off at the fair this year)
Spaz-White Silkie

Blu-Blue Silkie
Shadow-Black Silkie
Maggie-Buff Orpington Pullet
Peanut-Buff Silkie
Red-Rhode Island Red Pullet
Par-Partridge Cochin Pullet
Tank-New Hamshire Red Pullet
Raven-Barred Plymonth Rock Pullet
Belle-Blue Cochin Pullet
......our new babies are:
Annie-Red Cochin Pullet
Buffy-Buff Brahma Pullet
Lacy-Golden Laced Cochin Pullet
Ashley-Light Brahma Pullet
Frizzy-Buffed Laced Polish
ButterCup-Sicilian Buttercup Pullet
Sami-Salmon Faverolles Pullet (she's the one that has the problem with her beak)
and Pearl-Golden Laced Wyandotte
...I am Linda and my husband Duane are really happy and excited to be a part of your community! ...
Thank you for having us

Hi and :welcome

Glad to have you here!
Sounds like Sami has a cross beak. It's great that you're hand feeding her. I've heard stories of some chooks with cross beaks who live healthy lives! Apparently you can clip the beak if it gets too long, I just did a search for some threads.
Good luck, hope your vet can help you out on that one!

Don't hesitate to ask any questions you might have, and enjoy the site. :D
