Hi everyone, i've been reading your forum for a while now, and have finally decided to register
My name is Mand, and i live in North Yorkshire in the UK
i'm a relative new chicken mummy,i've had my girls for about 4 months now. I have 7 laying hens, and i've just got two 12 week old white silkies, but those are hopefully going to be for more as pets!
I'm eagerly awaiting new chicks, as one of my hens, Peggy, went broody on me for the first time, so i went out to a local farm, got 6 fertile eggs and put them under her....she's on day 14 now, and doing really well
even if we only get 1 chick from it, it'll have been a good experience, so i'm just seeing how it goes, and trying not to get too excited!
will probably be on here looking for advice all the time now!
