hi all im a very big animal lover and I have 17 adult chickens and 7 baby ones and we are planning to get more im also realy shy sorry :) hope to get to know u guys

Hello :frow and Welcome To BYC! You've come to the right place to talk about chickens! None of us peck or bite so feel free to talk to us! Good luck with your chicks and the new ones you are planning to get, have you decided on breeds yet?

yes we want Ameraucana and plymouth rocks and proably white leghorns we have them as pets not for meat I have the baby chicks living in the basement with me till they are older :p im also 17 and sometimes don't spell things right does anyone know any good things about these breeds

You might like to check out the BYC Breeds section, there are member reviews for a lot of breeds, so you can get an idea of what they other BYC members think of them https://www.backyardchickens.com/products/category/chicken-breeds All three of those breeds are nice and good egg layers, the Leghorns are more active than some people like, but for lots of big white eggs you can't beat them.

yea we have white leghorns and they are very.... jumpy in fact they are always the one that poop on us while on the 8 foot high posts in there chicken coop :p my dad was the one that insised on having a 8 foot high chicken coop ... never agein we have to make a new one soon tho

Good luck with your poultry raising adventures, and I hope you find everything you need to know. Don't forget to take a look at BYC's very useful learning center (If you haven't already)! The learning center as well as the forum should answer your questions! Glad to have you here! See you around the forum.

Welcome to BYC!

You are doing just fine! Lots of us are a bit shy here, but that is the beauty of the pc.

And not to worry about spelling errors. We all spell things wrong from time to time.

So pull up a roost bar and welcome to our flock!

Oh and if you have any questions, feel free to ask!
