Thank you all for awnsering! Im so glad I Finally got around to makeing an account! I also need to ask you it its normal for Golden Laced Wyandottes to not have lacing. Pippin lays wierd eggs, too. One was small and yellow, One was Pinkish, twisted and wrinkled, and one was speckled red. Whats wrong?

It is possible that Pippin is just a really strangely colored GL Wyandotte, or she may not be a Wyandotte at all. A photo would help.

No, it's not "normal", as the lacing is a breed and variety characteristic. However, many hatchery birds or non-showbirds don't have all the usual characteristics and may be lacking in some areas. Even show Wyandottes often have faulty lacing.

Is she new to laying? New layers often have small glitches in their reproductive tracts, as they aren't used to the whole egg laying process. New layers often have off colored eggs, shelless eggs, or unusually small or mishapen eggs. If she's an older hen that's been laying for a while, it may still be normal. Even the best layers occaisionally have something go wrong. As long as it doesn't repeat often, she's probably fine. Many shells are pinkish in color and many have blotches or speckles of different coloration. It's just the normal color. The wrinkled shell could be caused by insufficient calcium, or just a glitch.
