We have a hibiscus tree that has big red blooms on it all summer long. The kids and I love to drink the sugary juice and nibble on the flowers sometimes. Haven't made tea with it yet but will one day =). Would it be safe to toss the flowers to the chickens as a treat?? Should I wait til they are dried like they would be if making tea? I looked at the toxic plant list and it's not on there but I was wondering if anyone could specifically answer or maybe they also give hibiscus to their chickens. Thanks for your time.
