In the Brooder
Serena cried to herslef in the crowd. As the townspeople cheered and roared happily, she cried softly. Her brother was being beheaded. As her brother, Alan, was led to the beheading station, he shot a sad glance to her. He whispered "Stay strong." The executioner quickly grabbed him and slammed his head onto the stump. Serena cried at her brother's pain.
The executioner went and selected his weapon of choice, one other than the black, sharp axe, and walked over to Alan. The crowd was roaring, the ground shaking with their excitement. Children, adults, elders, all present to see another Powerholder die. Serena ran off, crying to herself, determined to make them pay.
Hours later, Serena found herself in her small house. The roaring had died down, and Alan was now gone. She had to assemble a group of fellow Powerholders, there had to be more of them.
Story: It's medieval times, in England, and you were born...a bit different. You have a strange power others don't, and very few people have your power. There is a group of people who want your kind dead, for them, you are mutations who should be killed. The hunters behead your kind by the week. Survive, use your powers to your advantage, and help your fellow Powerholders.
