Hidden chicks?

Would a hen lay and hatch eggs under a mobile home and go back to the coop each night? I fixed a hole in the house skirting and one of my hens seemed a bit upset about not getting in there.

Probably upset that she can’t get to her hiding place anymore. She may be fixin to go broody. But if she’s not sitting, they ain’t hatching.

Agreed. She's not trying to hatch, but you probably blocked off her favorite laying spot. She'll get over it.
