My chicken is about 2 she hasn't been laying eggs I'm not sure what it is she in her whole life layed about 6 eggs I know some chickens just don't lay so I dont worry but I wanted to try this oyster grit called Higgins mineral grit it says it has different minerals and things but it said it's for small birds like parakeet and others would it still be good to give her?? Are these ingredients good for her I'm not sure?

Welcome To BYC

What breed is your hen?
Is she the only chicken you have?
What do you feed including treats?
You can find Oyster Shell at feed stores like Tractor Supply.

If she's eating a nutritionally balanced poultry feed with limited treats, then oyster shell provided free choice (in a separate container) is a good idea. Highly doubtful that oyster shell will make her lay more eggs if that's your goal, some hens are not very productive.
