Currently I have 10 baby chicks

(3) What breeds do you have?

4 Buff Orpingtons, 3 Barred Rock and 3 Black Sex Linked, all hens.

(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?

I found the forums after searching google with questions.

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?

Fishing, acrylic pouring, sewing, tie dye.

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.

My husband and I live at 10,500ft in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado with our cockapoo adam. I've always wanted to raise chickens and this year i decided I was going to start doing all the things I've always wanted, and keeping chickens was at the top of my list. We live on a quarter of an acre in a working class neighborhood so i opted not to keep a Rooster out of respect for our neighbors. We'll be building our own coop and run for our girls soon. I look forward to becoming a member of the BYC community! :)

You might want to also Find Your State Thread and pop in and say hello.

BYC has Topic of the Week discussions which I have found to be a great resource, informative and sometimes entertaining; so definitely worth checking out. This one may be of particular interest to you:
Topic of the Week - Keeping the Flock Safe from Predators

If you would like to share Pictures and Stories of your flock or Adam, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out ;)
