Hi I came home tonite and my wife and I went to the bator and the temp was 115!

we were shocked and I took the top off to cool the eggs down for about 5 mins and then rest lid back on and now it is holding steady temp. But my wife says she checked the bator about 15 mins before I got home and the temp was normal at 100. So my question to you guys is do you think my eggs are all done or maybe they still have a chance? The eggs are in the 2nd day of lock down, we had seen a couple eggs wiggleing and my wife says she heard some chirps and cheeps. maybe at this advanced stage of incubating it will be ok ? Any thoughts here?maybe someone has been through this before. So the eggs were only at 115 for a very short time 5-10 mins is my guess Thanks

wow they may be ok Victor make sure your wife its telling you the true because same thing happened to me and she told me that it only had been 5 minuts when in reality it had been over hours my son told me the true.

My wife is really into hatching our eggs together with me and our Daughter so she is going to be honest with us ..... so I believe her!

Since you are in lockdown, you need to make sure none of the eggs had externally pipped before you opened the bator lid....You could have shrink wrapped chickys if so

Definately No pips we had about of 1 min of thought before we opened the bator. We our on 3rd hatch this year.

Wifey is glued to the bator in the other oom as type waiting for a peep or a wiggle ..................

Ok, they should be fine....my temp went up to 110 in a still air homemade bator and it was up for about 8 minutes and they were fine
