High flyers- I give up!

You only need to clip feathers, as others have mentioned. It's not like dog toenails.

Also, if you clip only one wing, it throws off their balance, and you won't have to clip very much.
 
Yep, clipping is the only way to stop the flying... It is easy, and you only do one side (throws them off balance). I always clip the left side. Mine don't mind; they actually like being held while I'm clipping, and it's only a partial loss of feathers. There are good tutorials on line. Enter 'how to clip chicken wings' into a search engine.
 
if it were me..... i would put netting up, but then you may eventually have the problem of them flying your fence too when you let them out. Do the feathers grow back if you clip them???
