I just had one chick hatch early and the humidity is up to 80% RH, the others are showing no signs of hatching and they are not due for another 16 hours. This one chick was closet to the heater, the reason it hatch early. Should I drop the humidity down back to 70% RH?

It is perfectly normal at hatch time, as the moisture inside the eggs is also released.

I sometimes tip the lid up to let some moisture escape, just for a few seconds, but that's because I have a Brinsea incubator, and those units recover temperature and humidity really quickly.
