my Incubator is set to 45% humidity and has been 60-65% for the first few days and it won’t go down, I have tried setting it lower and opening vents but it doesn’t make a difference. Will this affect my chicks development/hatching and does anyone know how to lower the humidity in thier incubator?

It depends on where you live. If your room humidity is high, it would be hard to get it real low inside the incubator. Also, the eggs themselves will increase humidity inside the bator, especially if you have a lot of eggs in there. Are you sure your hygrometer is calibrated?

I have a small pot of water in there I have 10 eggs inside, the hydrometer should be calibrated because it is a brand new rcom 10 pro and the humidity where I live is high at the moment

If your room humidity is high, I would take that pot of water out of incubator and see what it runs with just the outside humidity. When I incubated this spring, we were getting a lot of rain, room humidity was high. I didn't add any water at all until day 19 and my 12 eggs kept the humidity inside the bator between 40-45% the first 18 days. I generally like to keep it at 35% but that was as low as it would go with the outside humidity high. I monitored the air cells every week to make sure they were loosing the right amount of weight and I had 11 out of 12 eggs hatch with zip water those first 18 days.
