Our beloved last chochin Pat has been walking around cackling a lot lately. With the temps and humidity being what they are should I be worried about her. She walking around, dust bathing, eating and drinking other than the heavy cackling she acting normal.

    Any suggestions,

    Has she started laying yet?
It could be whats known as the 'egg song'. Hens tend to start clucking a lot before they start laying eggs!

Yea she has she the oldest one. She has been broody and has been sitting off and on. But with the heat she has been getting offend walking around cackling heavy.

She was giving us an egg twice a week maybe three, they she got broody.
