satisfing and have 5gr.fiber.all you do is empty the tube into a bottle of cold water and shake very well .
they contain 3gr. of protein, and come in flavors.the box of 7 is 1.00 and very filling
with 30 calories.

That is so kind of you to give me that info Sissy. I am really trying to just change my eating habits and drink lots and lots of water. I can't do a diet thing or my mind goes crazy and I eat everything in sight.

Liquid diet drinks make me ill as do the sweetened waters. I will check the label on this when I am at the store next time.
I grilled a chicken breast, steamed peas, baked a sweet potato, sprayed with that butter stuff, and a salad with a tiny bit of light dressing on it. Tell you the truth, I love sweet potatoes but I have felt bloated since I ate it. I think I will just try half of one the next time I have one.

Ozark,

I have been doing well, by replacing bad fats with good. It's also help stop craving the bad ones. Almonds, walnuts, salmon, tuna, avacodos, olive oil etc.....I have lost weight, and feel so much better. Stopped drinking all sugary drinks, like Coke....which was basically an addition for me.

I'll see if I can find the link that explains how it works....brb...lol

Hi there Pam, yes, I guess I am on the right tract. I have switched to all olive oil, make my own mayo with canola oil, if I "fry" anything it is with a tiny amount of canola spray. I have switched all the bad fats that I have found. Also quit the sugary drinks. Diet coke is my addiction but I seldom have one now. I prefer the ice cold bottled water now and drink lots of it. I have walnuts and almonds on hand. I have chocolate in the house but have no desire for it. Yes, I have been losing weight, about a pound a day so far. I am eating mostly green veggies, lots of fruit, chicken and fish. Whole grain bread plus some Iron Kids bread once in awhile, love their label, better than most whole wheat breads.
I snacked on popcorn a couple nights but it was a moderate amount. So I think I am on the right tract.

I need to get some more raw milk and make my own butter...dr said fresh homemade butter is better than anything on the market with all the additives in it. Thank goodness I have a young knowledgeable dr. LOL Old timers don't want you to even eat eggs. Dr. also said the home raised eggs are way healthier for you. But I like being able to "spray" my butter on my veggies...it takes so little you know? Anyway I am enjoying this new way of eating. Thanks for all the help out there!!
By the way, Pam...............your name.................

WAY TO GO OZARK!!! I knew you could do it!!

I blew it today, lol. Hubby brought me some chocolate covered cherries!

I love him but he's my enabler!! Of course he tells me he got on the scale today at work. All in all he has gone from 310 to 279 in the past month in a half.

Starting tomorrow, I have banned all junk from the house! No more sodas, candy, or comes in a box!. Good thing is, our farmers market is up and running so I will be going shopping there until my garden starts coming in.

I spent today getting a jump on the menu for the week by making up a few side dishes to use later in the week. Boiled up some pasta, got the barley soaking to make a pilaf, and steamed a bunch of carrots. I think if I create a menu in advance we will be better able to stick to it.

I get bored with foods/diets so quickly. I've got so many allergies to foods and stuff they put in food that I have to limit what I eat. A couple years back, I made myself eat eggplant and learned to really like it. One day I ate it and my tongue swelled up. Same thing with mangos, kiwi, all nuts, avacodos, all kinds of stuff. Equal sends me into a catatonic state and splenda makes me hurl. I'm very carb sensitive. I look at white bread and gain 2lbs

I love to cook but with my husbands schedule it doesn't make sense to make real meals.

Keep it up ozark, I'm pulling for you!!

PS I wouldn't worry about the milk over 1% unless you are drinking gallons of it. Deli meats are loaded with preservitives. There is one brand that is all natural but I can't remember what it is right now. I get it a Wally World here

In the new issue of Mother Earth News (the one with berries on the cover), they have the a couple of articles you might enjoy. One is on making homemade butter, and just scanning over the article (haven't read it yet) it talks about the benefits of homemade butter vs. supermarket. Another article is on how Industrial Farming is giving us less nutritious foods.

I am going to have to look into this homemade butter...

Edit to add....My DH is the CreamPuff, and honestly more cream puff than ruff tuff...lol. I am more like a Tough Cookie...lol. This is really his user name, I just don't use mine...because we have to dump cookies each time to log out and log back in.

Good morning, I wish I lived by Cindi and Pam as we would be thin and have low cholesterol, low b.s., low b.p. and we would be great friends

I got on the scales this morning and I have lost six pounds now. I am in the state of "deer in the headlights"...can't believe this is really happening. Six pounds doesn't show up when you weighed 201 pounds and only five feet tall!
Homemade butter, mayo, yogurt are the easiest things to make ..especially the first two. Thanks to Miss Prissy we eat better around here.
My problem is that I watch the cooking shows all the time and then go make the dish.

My family brags on my cooking..though we sure do have some bloopers

.
Now I have pretty much stopped all that. I need to get used to this and then I will be able to jump in and fix meals that are good for us but have lots of flavor.
I grilled a chicken breast for me (seasoned very well as chicken can be boring..oops did I say that? LOL) steamed some frozen peas, small salad and a sweet potato for dinner yesterday and ate about a 1/4 of a watermelon. I felt bloated from the sweet potato and I love them. I told dh I didn't think I would eat one again unless it was just half of one. I have become used to not feeling bloated in the past week and it feels good!!! I don't want that feeling any more. coyote...you hang in there, men always lose way more and way faster than we do. My dh just cuts back on his portions and still eats his cookies, etc.

Then loses tons of weight.
