hillside run???

I have been looking at coop and run pictures on this site and it seems like they are always on flat ground. I mostly have hills where I was thinking about putting my run & coop. Can anyone tell me if I will end up with big problems if I put a run on a hillside? I have a flat area but it's too close to a creek and I would worry about high water if I put my chicks there.
I could use some wood and put in some walls for flat areas if that would help.
Any thoughts on the pros and cons?

Putting the run on a hill should be fine. As long as it doesn't get flooded if it rains really hard you should be fine.

I think maybe I will terrace it to make some flat spots. Maybe I can put a partial roof to keep some spots dry too.
As usual my project is growing before I even begin.
