Himalayan Pheasants

They need to be in a screened pen so mosquitoes can't get to them. They are suceptable to west nile and this lowers the chance of getting bit by a carrier mosquito. You need to teach them to eat for at least 4 days or until you see them eating on their own. They constantly tip their water over so try to secure it.Don't let any drafts get to them, but try to keep good air flow.

These are my brooders. Each brooder is 2'wx3'dx18"h.After the 5th week they go into a 4'wx3'dx18"h with a perching area. They get a 25 watt bulb just for light not much heat.I paint all my bulbs red just in case someone starts to bleed it doesn't show up very well.

Shipping can be expensive, but you will get birds that are not related to any other birds in your area.If you use click and ship thru the www.usps.com website you can save 30% on shipping cost.It is the same delivery as express overnight. The only thing different is you are printing your own label.
I am shipping 2 pairs of yellow goldens to Puerto Rico and it's costing 80.00 to ship them.

Dip their beaks in water and then in the food, they will get the hang of it after a while.I wouldn't put ringnecks with them, they are cannibals.

Thats a good price. I might look around before i buy from out of state to save a little. Are they like Amherst and Golden and nest in a box or?

Some nest in baskets some on the ground.Give them different options and they will pick the one they are comfortable with.I can pm you people in your state that raise them if you'd like.
