    Hey gang!

I'm trying to get my birds' home ready for winter and need to make the nest box hinge more waterproof. What I have isn't working as I hoped and am looking for new ideas for this one portion. If you watch the video here
    http://youtu.be/Nkck_iWGbtw you'll see the issue I have.

I apologize for not keeping on subject and got distracted while filming. PLEASE do not allow the cuteness to distract you from the main issue as it did me. [IMG]

Thank you for your help if you avoid the distractions. [IMG]

An old tire inner tube works well.

Get a piece of EDPM pond liner (a good garden center should have this on a roll to buy by the foot) and attach it to the wall with a furring strip above the nest and down well over the hinge area. You'll may have to caulk the top edge.
