I'll get more next year if I can, but Ideal doesn't carry the feather-footed French kind anymore and I don't know if I will try the clean-legged sort or seek out more of the French ones.

How long ago did they have them? That stinks…a feather feet cuckoo would be so cool!

Two years ago.

They didn't have them this year, only the clean-legged kind.

My FCM ladies lay lovely, large, milk-chocolate-ish eggs almost every day.

If you get barring on a black one, or lacing around grey/blue it is barred! I really like my Marans! (My French wasn’t in that pic). My son & I try to make a point every day to go out and sit with the chickens for an hour. It is nice to relax and watch chicken TV, and has definitely made them less skiddish around us!

I have 2 French Cuckoo Marans and I really enjoy them. If I weren't breeding the Australorps I'd want to be breeding them.

I would find another hatchery or get the eggs. The leg/feet feathering is so way cool.

I did like McMurray as you can log in and add to your order, some places don’t allow changes. That is dangerous too!
