Hit or miss in PM box / showing 'responded envelope' .

Hi!
Why do I get the 'envelope with a red mark' next to only some of the private messages I have responded to?
For example, I got 2 messages from the same person today and responded to both (via PM), but only the second one *shows* that I responded (has the envelope w/red mark).
It's happened that I thought I responded to a BYC PM, and it didn't show that I had --- but I thought I might have used email or just been forgetful.
Why do you think that might be?

That's the first we've heard of the problem, and it has always worked perfectly for me.

Try leaving BYC and deleting your cached files and come back.
