Hitchin a ride on Momma!

Niki sat for 2 weeks on infertile eggs. Not eating/ getting up. I dosed her several times with cool water and she would eat, drink and make a large poop and then back to the nestbox. So I got her 7 fertile eggs and one hatched! And she is a proud Momma! Thanks to all who gave me advice!

That's so cute! I have a broody hen who is raising some chicks for me right now. I love it when they jump on her back and ride her. One time, one of the chicks was missing and I was looking all over for her, worried something had happened. Then, I spotted her nestled in the momma hen's neck feathers! It was just the cutest thing.
This was taken when she popped her head out and looked around.

That is adorable! I can’t believe how far in they get among the hen’s feathers! It also makes me laugh when she bends way down to cluck ( talk) to him!
