Hiya Everyone I am new to the backyard chicken keeping and I am finding I really love the whole chicken experience.
My grandpa always had chickens when I was growing up and I enjoyed sitting in the lawn watching them roam around the yard.
I really don't know what my chickens are as far as breed I guess they are just a mix a friend of mine give them to me so I am just learning she did say something about Easter eggers and I get some light blues eggs and some light blush colored ones from them I only have 5 hens and they are all the little bantam size.
I kept them in our makeshift wire coop till my hen house is done but I just couldn't stand it any longer so I let them free range during the day and pen them up at night. I will be glad when the house is finished. We live on the outskirts of the city but still considered city. we can't have roosters here just hens. I guess if ya can think of anything else you would like to know bout me feel free to ask I don't mind. looking forward to talking to all ya about my girls.
