Hiya! New to BYC in South TX

Hey y'all! I'm about two months into keeping chickens since a neighbor so generously gave me some RIR pullets and a cockerel to get a flock going. Since then my partner and I ended up rescuing some bantam hens and a rooster of unknown breed from an overcrowding issue at another neighbors house. We really jumped into all of this head first, and are having a blast so far! They are literally the smartest/dumbest animals I've ever taken care of. The rest of my neighbors must think my partner and I are nuts cause they'll catch us outside just staring at all our chickens completely entranced.
Anyway, I'm thrilled to be here and can't wait to expand my knowledge of animal husbandry!
