I am a new chicken mum (started with my first “day olds” about 10 weeks ago. I am absolutely loving the experience so far and love that we added this flock to our future hobby farm. Our six babies are the first step in creating our dream farm and they’ve been an absolute riot. We currently have a Barred Rock (Hattie), a Buff Orpington (Ruby), a Columbian Wyandotte (Penny), and three Ameraucana’s (Edna, Patsy and Margaret...who may be a roo).

As a nervous new bird mum with an insatiable need to learn I have used the backyardchickens forum often to guide me thru many aspects of caring for my girls and I look forward to being a part of the forum now
