I'm happy to be here. I have had 2 hens and a rooster for about a year here soon. They are California tan, a mix hybrid chicken between a White Leghorn and Production Red. Ever since they could lay eggs, I've gotten an egg each day, even throughout the winter.

I have bought more chicks this year. Art and chickens are my passion.

Anyways, all knowledge is great and I'm here to share what i may know and increase my knowledge about what i need to know more about chickens. Thank you.

Hello and welcome to BYC! :frow Glad you joined.

It's very common for pullets to lay throughout the winter. They will not do that when they become hens. Especially when they hit their first molt.
