hoarse chicken

hi all... have a hen that sounds a bit hoarse... what can i do for her? how do i treat her? how do i treat the whole flock? i have about 18 hens, all around a year and never formally vaccinated... just medicated stuff when they were chicks. right now, i seperated her, though i know she may have shared her germs already... so whats the next (affordable) step?? thanks.

Make sure they have plenty of clean, crisp water at all times.

i am in new york and its getting warmer here... do you think the warmer weather and the fresh water will clear things up? they get fresh water each day, but they are allowed to free range... so who knows what else they are getting - as far as mud puddles, pond water, etc...

I would try putting out more than one water container if you have a small one and try changing them twice a day if possible. Missing a day seems like it would okay.
But yeah, if it's just a cold of some kind it may just go away on its own.
