Hello fellow chicken lovers,

I'm originally from Texas but currently living in Spain for the next couple of years. My wife recently gave in, and allowed me to pick 4 chicks to live with us. I have been wanting some for a log time now and have always had my eye on the Utrerans (Living in Utrera, Spain has nothing to do with it ;).

Most of my chicken knowledge has come form BYC and the many supporters, so thank you and I look forward to learning many more great tips and tricks to keep my ladies happy and healthy. Hopefully I might even be able to find a way to take my Spanish Clukers back with me to the states when my tour is up.

Thanks again,
Hector

Here's a pic of my sweethearts

thought I was polish up my spanish lol lovey chooks you have there - it must be very warm where you are (lucky you) nice to have you here..

Hola Hector, welcome to BYC!

Your blue girls remind me of Andalusian's, is that another name for Utrerans? Very pretty birds!

Good luck with your flock, it's nice to have you here!

Muchas gracias Whoop Whoop! Even though I prefer hot weather, 100+ days do start to wear on me.

Thank you NorthFLChick. I really like anything from Andalucía (the Region/State which Utrera is in). The Blue Andalucian is my favorite. The ladies I have here are a randoms I let my kids pick out at a feed store I found in Sevilla. If I end up finding out all the US import laws I’ll end up getting some chicks from a breeder.

For everyone else thank you for the warm welcome.

-Hector
