Ooh! Exciting!

Only pieces of advice I have are do NOT reduce airflow to the incubator in attempts to raise humidity, be patient with the little buggers (a lot of them don't realize day 21 is hatch Day and not "pip" day), and if you think you MIGHT want to assist, read up on it now so you don't have to rush to figure out what to do.

Wishing you luck!

Thank-you . The airflow and humidity are computer controlled by the unit and i would not try to block or smother the flow or exit of air as i would be too scared of rising the temp or causing problems with the motor. Knowing my luck id turn it into one of those new air fryers ( which are exelent by the way) but i dont want popcorn chicks. The possibility of assist is a skill i have not yet had to challenge my self with but i think my mum and aunt have, and are quite experienced. But not everyone knows everything. And id love to show some knowledge and maybe even add to theirs from Y'all's vast wealth of experience. Im not afraid to ask for help and advice after all its the health of the animals that's important and not my pride! But its also good to get the little tipbits and encouragement 😁🐓🐣🐣🐣🐣🐣🐣🐣🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥🐤🐤🐤🐤🐤🐧

So far we are 2 for 2 on the ayam cemani's and 1 of 3 on the derbyshire red caps. Lets see what the morning brings. Sorry fo poor quality photos but with light reflection and tinted screen/cover it has done the pictures 📷 any favours

Ok so another update. We now have a 4th. However it too is black meaning it can not be a red cap as they are a fawn colour, 2 people have said black orpington?? 1 of whom i got the eggs from in the first place ( she also breeds show quality orpingtons) but i would have imagined far larger eggs? I guess we will see what happens😆🐣😆🐣maybe we'll get a 🐧🐧🐧 aswell🤣🤣🤣. Tbh im not really that bothered. As long as happy and healthy then I'm happy especially as my first foray into incubation. I mean who can be upset with a little fluffy ball of cuteness?
