I placed my order a couple of months ago for 10 TSQ large Silver Appleyards. Monday recieved an email saying ducks were shipping that evening & to expect them no later than 6/14. 7 AM today post office called to say the box arrived. I was nervous about the long distance they traveled. But all 10 arrived happy & healthy plus 2 bonus black runner ducks. Can anyone spot the runner ducks?

They have drank 2 quarts of water today & have been so busy in their brooder (an old $15 livestock trough). I lined half of a dog carrier with a towel & the water is inside the carrier in hopes of containing some of the water mess.

Cute

Wow....as would be expected they are all marked perfectly! No wild-type markings whatsoever. That was some money well spent: Those are going to be some super beautiful ducks!

Oh, and the runners are so cute. Poor little things stick out like sore thumbs in that sea of yellow fluff!

Congratulations!

Remember to post photos as they feather out!

Do you know how many are females yet ?

Can you post some photos of what they look like now?

Got them all named yet ?

They are far from photogentic! I did try to take a few pics a couple wks ago, but not really any good ones. No idea on boys & girl count, but they are pretty. We lost one, think it was human error. DH changed their pond water one night after dark & of course they all had to check out the new water. I beleive one got chilled after its evening swim. The 2 black runners were suppose to go live with my sister, but they are still here as well.
Can't believe they are only 3 months old. Think they eat at least 10 lbs of feed a day, they are hungry monsters! The pic above is them waiting for breakfast after a stormy night. They were only worried about who was bringing their food, any other time they hide in the wildflowers when I enter their pen.
