Hi... I just bought 6 silver and 6 gold Welsh Harlequin ducklings to be delivered June 4. I will be keeping 3 hens and 1 drake of silver, and the same on the gold. I should have 4 top quality males left for sale if anyone is interested.
This is my second order from Holderreads and they are great to deal with. Ordered 10 last time, got 11 delivered and lost one who got too wet his first night here. The rest matured and I was blessed with LOTS of eggs.
I love my ducks. The Welsh are so friendly, prolific layers, good moms when you leave them alone to do their job, can't fly more than a few feet high or over a long distance (butt heavy) and not as noisy as several of the other breeds. Deal well with cats, dogs, horses. Will chase chickens and rabbits from their territory. Excellent free range and bring themselves in for the night.. Will chase you down for treats and eat all the mosquito larva in the ponds. Funny and entertaining... LOVE MY HARLEYS....
